Is to support the religious /spiritual life of the Western University community and its students. Over the last year, we have
- Partnered with King’s College students who participated in Intercordia experiences, where they travel to developing countries, live with host families, and volunteer in local peace and justice initiatives. The program aims to educate young people to become more compassionate and to be peacemakers in our world.
- Partnered with the Western University Arts and Humanities Frosh Team to raise funds for important community projects.
Through these partnerships we seek to work together for the building up of God’s Kingdom. As we partner together, we get to know each other, and find opportunities to nurture faith. In the words of one student: “It is refreshing to find a place where spirituality is important.”
Connecting with our neighbours
Here at St.Luke’s we are passionate about living out our mission of Christian Service to the parish, the community and the city.
St. Luke the Evangelist – Broughdale is a village church. When we were founded in 1906, the village was Brough. Today, the village is home to many university students.
We are not just an entity unto ourselves. Connecting with each other, and with our neighbours, is important to us. We have always changed to meet the needs of the community we serve, and we have lots of experience partnering and sharing in God’s work.
Whether feeding the hungry in partnership with the Middlesex London Health Unit, or through support of student initiatives, we work with others to make a difference in God’s world.
