Community outreach is an important part of St. Luke’s mission of connecting with our neighbourhood, as well as supporting the religious / spiritual life of the Western University community.
This year was the first of what we hope will be an annual Artisans & High Tea event at St. Luke the Evangelist – Broughdale. Local Artisans showing their wares, people from London and the surrounding area visiting, looking, talking together, and discovering the fellowship and Christian Service of St. Luke the Evangelist – Broughdale. All in support of our Renew Project which helps fund our community outreach.
The response received was positive by patrons, vendors, and volunteers alike, and deemed a great success.
The Tea Room was a tremendous success, with a variety of finger sandwiches, treats, smiles, and a relaxing, yet elegant, atmosphere.
Many vendors appreciated the organization, the extra help with set-up and clean-up, and the general friendliness of everyone involved.
We, the Renew Committee, and the parishioners of St. Luke’s, enjoyed meeting with the vendors and patrons, learning about them and their works, hearing their thoughts on the event, and sharing some of who we are at St. Luke’s.
The Renew Committee would like to thank everyone who participated, donated and supported this event.
