We at St. Luke’s invite you to join with people of faith around the world to pray for creation this Thursday, September 1st. As part of your prayer, consider fasting as a way of moving your prayer to action…whether by restricting your food intake, or reducing your carbon footprint.
The World Day of Prayer for Creation was first proclaimed by the Orthodox Church in 1989. Since then many other faith groups have joined the call for prayer and fasting, including the Anglican Church of Canada.
At St. Luke’s we will be observing a Season of Creation beginning on Thursday and continuing to October 2. Join us. Check out our ‘Coming Up at St. Luke’s’ page or visit The Season of Creation website.
